Sam Gary Jr. founded Samuel Gary Jr. & Associates Inc. in 1983. Sam set his company apart from his peers by taking an innovative leadership approach to environmental stewardship from the beginning. Sam incorporates his principles of environmental stewardship into responsible operating practices. Throughout his 40+ year career, Sam and his team have drilled more than 600 wells and generated more than $1.5 billion in aggregate returns. Sam has spearheaded several joint venture partnerships. He has a passion for nature and its preservation, which is evident through his diverse interests — rancher, outdoorsman, falconer and advocate for wildlife preservation. Sam also is a member of the Peregrine Fund board of directors. He graduated with a bachelor of science in geology from the University of Colorado and spent several years as a geologist for Standard Oil.
